It's always nice to see old vehicles in working order or in museums.
So how many of us are involved in museum or restoration work?

Hello Western SMT. I'm sitting here in old Eastern Scottish territory!
I'm no longer involved directly in any sort of restoration, but I occasionally helped out in the initial re-building of a Midland Red LD8, SHA431. It was originally bought by a group called the MIDLAND OMNIBUS PRESERVATION SOCIETY, but it has since passed to BAMMOT (see http://www.bammot.org.uk/ ) They describe it as a PD2/12, but I'm convinced it's a PD2/20.
I'm not involved in anything now and it's unlikely I can do much due to my age (55) and my weak back - sacro-iliac to be annoyingly accurate! However if there's any light electrical work required in the Edinburgh area, then I can lend a hand.

Hey Gunny, what an interesting diversion that link of yours threw up. I shall go back to that again.
Thanks.

Hi.............,
There are many restoration centers and I am interested to find out what the public and perhaps state interest would be in a modern, well presented and properly funded transport museum somewhere . A fine collection of vehicles and equipment relating to most conflicts from world war I onwards. Some vehicles are in working order.
