Going to be rough on some parents trying to get them to school if the strike does go ahead on 11, 21 and 24th.

Won't they just keep the school kids at home?

In a lot of cases - yes, but depending upon their age there would have to be someone at home surely to look after them and that could cause problems.

Latest information on Stagecoach dated 14 Nov 2008

A bus firm hit by ongoing strike action is to give 650 drivers a 4.5% pay increase, it has been announced.

Thousands of schoolchildren in north east Scotland and the Highlands were affected by the first Stagecoach strike over pay on Tuesday 11th

Stagecoach said drivers would receive the pay increase from Monday 17th.

A T&G Unite spokesman said the increase "imposed" on members was "part-payment" of its pay claim. Further strike action is planned for 21 and 24 November.
