Proposals to build a bus route on a disused railway line are to be reconsidered by the Court of Appeal.

My personal belief is that routes that were established as railways should remain as transport links, either as railways, tramways or as roads for buses or even trucks.
Despite spending my working life in the road-transport industry, the railways constituted a network of direct access lines that should never have been relinquished.
It is unfortunate if current neighbouring landowners object, however the environmental impact is much less than would be the case when steam trains ran along these tracks.
